Flow/Pressure Differential Characteristics |
Figure below shows the fundamental flow characteristics of the FlowCon SH series of valves.
Area 1 reflects the flow characteristics under the minimum pressure differential needed to operate the valve at the selected flow rate. The flow characteristics at that point will be identical to that of a fixed orifice device. The flow rate through the circuit is less than the selected limit, and the regulation will typically be under the authority of a temperature control valve or other pressure dependent regulation valve.
Area 2 reflects the flow characteristics while the pressure differential across the valve is greater than the minimum (pressure differential) , required to operate the valve at the selected flow rate. The flow rate will automatically be limited to the selected maximum, independent of pressure fluctuations.

Adjustment Setting |
The graph below indicates the flow rate achieved at the given setting; i.e. at a setting of 4.0, the flow rate will be 0.51 liters/sec. referring to DN 15/20 and 1.35 liters/sec. referring to DN 25/32.
